ID: GC2536.jpg South Rim of the Grand Canyon at Hopi Point (6,800 ft high) with a view of Isis Temple (7,014 ft high) which is the pink mountain formation in the center of the photo near the horizon with a curvy white rock top. Also in the photo is the Cheops Pyramid (5,399 ft high) which is the flat pink mountain top in front of the left "arm" of Isis Temple just to the left of the yellow mountain in the foreground. In the foreground are the white Kaibab Formation rock layer (formed 270 million years ago hereafter called m.y.a.) and yellow Coconino Sandstone rock layer (275 m.y.a.). Below this light layer in the background is the pink Supai Group (300 m.y.a.) and the deeper pink Redwall Limestone layer (340 m.y.a.) which is directly on top of the gray layer. This gray rock layer is Tonto Group formed 500 million years ago.
